Hi,

I'm 34 and live in the West Midlands, although I grew up in Hampshire. In 2011, I had a life-changing accident, which has meant I am now a wheelchair user. However, that life-changing accident also changed my path in life and how I now use my voice- to EMPOWER those with disabilities; how I do this takes and has taken numerous different forms, to name a few, being involved in research projects, supporting the education of apprentice social work students, supporting at workshops and events along with attendance at several boards both regionally and nationally. I have also been provided with training to coach directors of social care.

In July 2024 I completed a Health and Social Care degree that I started in 2009, and I think that that's my most significant achievement in life as I started it pre-accident. However, I am more than happy to accept any challenge to top trump it (but not a master's degree!).
